Bobi Wine revealed that Jose Chameleone was the first to get him access to Club Guvnor.

At the time, the upscale hangout known as Guvnor was actually called Ange Noir Discotheque. Bobi Wine and Chameleone initially crossed paths at Sabrina's Pub backstage while both were navigating their way into the music industry through karaoke.

In a video observed by this journalist, Bobi Wine recounted their encounter, stating that when they first met, Chameleone discussed how Myco Chris, a prominent figure at the time (real name Michael Kyemwa, currently based in the UK), had undergone a religious transformation. Bobi Wine expressed his admiration for Chameleone's intelligence. As time passed, they encountered each other once more at DV8, a well-known bar back then. By this point, Bobi Wine had released the song "Akagoma," while Chameleone had already achieved stardom.

During this encounter, Chameleone complimented Bobi Wine on his song and mentioned that it was receiving significant airplay at Ange Noir. Bobi Wine had never been to Ange Noir before, and Chameleone offered to take him there. Bobi Wine had made two previous unsuccessful attempts to gain entry, but that night, he encountered Chameleone at the entrance, who assisted him in gaining access.

"He was the one who granted me access to the DJ booth at Ange Noir," Bobi Wine recalled. "What I did there left quite an impression... It was so much fun that even the person who had brought me along was taken aback."

Chameleone, in previous interviews, mentioned that Bobi Wine's song "Akagoma" caught his attention, prompting him to search for its creator. In a video witnessed by this reporter, Chameleone shared, "I started inquiring about the artist behind this song, and I was informed it was Bobi Wine. I asked, 'Who is Bobi Wine?'"

During their initial meeting at Sabrina's, Bobi Wine was using the stage name Bobi Lob.
