Barbie Itungo Kyagulanyi shared with movie audiences on Thursday that she is unable to dissuade her husband from pursuing the risky path in politics, as she continues to admire him like an ardent fan.

During the screening of a new National Geographic documentary film about the NUP leader in Los Angeles, Barbie was asked if she ever considered dissuading her husband from risking his life in his fight against the Ugandan Government. The 38-year-old responded that she was not in a position to stop Bobi Wine because, at the time, he was championing the cause of young people, including herself. She proudly declared herself a devoted Bobi Wine fan, expressing that wherever he goes, his fans follow.

Itungo further described her husband as "very unpredictable," emphasizing that she never knows what he will do next. She clarified that his decisions are always driven by his dedication to the people and their needs, not about her or their family.

Regarding the large number of crowds supporting Bobi Wine, Barbie stated that it didn't surprise her, as he resonated with the young population due to his youthful spirit and ability to connect with them on their level.

Bobi Wine, on the other hand, shared with the audience that his decision to venture into politics was impulsive and spurred by a traumatic incident when he was attacked one night in a bar. Despite his belief that he was invincible during the height of his music career, he found himself helpless and physically assaulted by an armed and well-connected individual at the bar.

This harrowing experience compelled him to shift his focus to creating politically charged music, eventually propelling him into the world of politics in 2017.

Accompanied by his wife and children, Bobi Wine traveled to the US for the premiere of a documentary that chronicles the events of the lethal 2021 general elections in Uganda. The documentary is a result of over 4000 hours of raw footage captured during the election season, carefully edited and compressed over the course of the past two years.
