Lydia Jazmine emphasized that her participation in Coke Studio during 2016 was pivotal in influencing the trajectory of her music career.


"...a significant transformation in my music career occurred following my participation in Coke Studio," revealed Jazmine during an interview. "It was a realization that you can't merely release a song without collaborating with a sound engineer... as this wasn't a common practice here." She explained that the professionals at Coke Studio introduced her to the intricacies of music production.

Jazmine also emphasized her learning experience in terms of her demeanor and conduct as a musician.

"I acquired valuable insights into branding, understanding how an artist should present themselves before stepping out... What's the right appearance?" She emphasized the comprehensive training received during her time at Coke Studio. "I had the privilege to work with one of the top producers in Africa, gaining insights into the production process... My music videos also underwent a transformation post my Coke Studio involvement... High-quality music videos are essential."

Lydia Jazmine, whose birth name is Lydia Nabawanuka, achieved her major breakthrough by collaborating with Geosteady (George William Kigozi) on the track "Same Way," produced by Nessim, which quickly became a hit.

Born in 1991, Jazmine began gaining mainstream attention when producer Bushington enlisted her as a backing vocalist for Mowzey Radio and Weasel Manizo. She lent her vocals to songs such as "Breathe Away" (produced by Michael Fingers) and "Ntunga" (produced by Nessim).

She extended her collaborative efforts to artists like Pallaso, Sheebah Kalungi, and Bebe Cool before launching her debut single "You Know," featuring Rabadaba and produced by Nessim.

Under the umbrella of his label Necta Music, Bushington assumed the role of her manager.

In 2016, Lydia Jazmine received a song penned by Radio, titled "Nkubanja." The track was unveiled in 2017 and was brought to life through the production efforts of the Late Danz Kumapeesa.Continuing her musical journey into 2018, she collaborated with Daddy Andre to deliver a captivating ballad named "You and Me."
