Despite being 36 years old and having enjoyed a successful music career spanning 14 years, Chris Evans, known for his hit song "Wamponya," has yet to find a life partner. He acknowledges his misfortune, revealing in a 2019 interview with Daily Monitor how his low self-esteem and fear of approaching women have hindered his ability to settle down and start a family.
In a recent interview with Vlogger Martin Pro, which was broadcast on Thursday, May 14th, Evans confesses that his fruitless search for love has resulted in significant financial loss. He laments, "As someone like me, a tomato farmer, a girl will come and take away Shs 200,000 for no reason at all."
"This girl hasn't assisted you with cultivation, weeding, or spraying... So, that's approximately 10 tins of tomatoes gone! She's taken it," lamented Evans.
Since 2017, Evans has been engaged in farming, cultivating tomatoes, maize, and rearing poultry. This agricultural venture has provided him with a steady income, particularly in recent years when opportunities in the music industry began to diminish, as he painfully expressed in an interview with Sanyuka TV.
His struggles with women, however, are not a recent occurrence. Even his very first crush, he reveals, drained him financially through gifts and gestures, only to abruptly end the relationship "without any reason." This experience served as the inspiration for his debut song, "Rihanna."
Around 2019, Evans decided to take a break from pursuing romantic relationships. This decision came after enduring numerous heartbreaks, including an incident where a woman left him for another man and then invited him to perform at their wedding.
