Chris Evans Kaweesi
RNB Artist

Chris Evans is a Ugandan recording artist and business owner. His music is played at most wedding parties and ceremonies where new people are introduced. His first single, "Rihana," was a big hit and made him known in the music business.

In 2015, Evans worked with a female musician named Rema Namakula to make a hit song called "Linda." Most Ugandans still think it sounds new and classic.

Evans is known for being simple and easygoing, but his life and career have been full of controversies. The most famous one was when he said that thugs hit him on the head with a hammer, which most Ugandans didn't believe or understand.Chris is one of the best recording artists for rumba music, which is also called "Band music."

How I grew up and went to school

Chris Evans was born in 1987. His name at birth was Christopher Evans Kaweesi. Jane Nabwami was a housewife, and Christopher Kakooza was a builder. He was born into their family.

His father was also a church singer at the Busawula church in Uganda, but he died when Chris was 13. His mother started paying his school fees, but she died when he was 14.

Chris worked odd jobs on construction sites to pay for his elementary and middle school education.

When Ernest Kakulira was in middle school, the headteacher of Masooli SS, who was at the time named Kakulira, offered to pay his school fees. He got 14 points in 8 subjects on his O-level exams, which is a perfect score (the best possible score in 8).

His uncle paid for him to go to St. Mary's school boarding secondary school, Kitende, which was a good residential mixed high school in Kajjansi off the Kampala Entebbe road. He got his A level there. Kaweesi studied physics, chemistry, and biology at Kitende, and math was a minor subject.

After high school, the government paid for him to go to Makerere University, where he studied agriculture and got a second degree upper.

A career in music

Chris started singing when he was a child. His late father Christopher, who was a singer at the Busawuula church in Uganda, taught him to love singing. Chris remembers going with his father every time he went to perform.

Chris says that when he first started out, people always told him he sounded like Qute Kaye from the Ginkese.

Elly Wamala, who died, and Ronald Mayinja are the people he looks up to.

Chris Evans started making music in 2007. His first single was called "Rihana" and came out in 2009. It was made by Mozart studios.

This song got him into the business, even though it didn't take him very far. In 2010, he put out a new song called "Ndikusasula ki," which became a big hit all over Uganda.

This song was made by producer David, and it helped him put on his first successful concert in 2011. This concert created a lot of controversies since it was organized on the same day as chameleon’s concert.

Chris Evans and singer Rema Namakula worked together in 2015 to write and perform a critically acclaimed duet called "Linda." This single went on to get a lot of airplay.

When Chris and Rema were singing the song together, Evans asked Rema about her relationship with Eddy Kenzo. Rema then left the stage. Evans put on another concert in 2019 called Bwebinyuma, which was a success.

In 2007, his first single, called "Rihana," was his first step into the music business.

Relationship

Even though Chris Evans is a famous actor, he lives a private life. The first time his love life became public was when a local actress broke up with him in 2014.

Karungi is said to have hooked up with a wealthy businessman from the city, but she broke up with him.

In 2012, they were dating, but they broke up. After that, Evans posted photos of himself with a pretty young woman on social media and said she was the love of his life. It turned out, though, that she was just a vixen in a new music video he was making.
