Kato Lubwama's Demise: Alleged Complications Lead to the Passing of Former MP

The entertainment industry mourns the loss of Kato Lubwama, also known as Kato Lubwama Mivule, a renowned actor, comedian, playwright, and former member of parliament from Uganda.

During the 1990s, Kato gained prominence as the founder of Diamonds Ensemble, a theater company that played a crucial role in revitalizing the art form in Uganda.

Transitioning into radio, Lubwama became widely recognized for his contributions to the CBS FM Kalisoliso program, where he formed a successful partnership with fellow actors Abby Mukiibi and Patrick Mujuuka.   In 2016, he embarked on a political journey and successfully secured a seat as a member of parliament representing the Rubaga South constituency.

Kato Lubwama's Cause of Death: Ugandan Comedian Passes Away from Heart Attack

The former Member of Parliament for Rubaga South, Kato Lubwama, has sadly passed away. The Ugandan comedian's untimely demise has been attributed to a heart attack resulting from his pre-existing heart condition.On June 7, at Stana Medical Centre in Bunamwaya, Lubwama reportedly succumbed to complications arising from his ailment.

The news of Lubwama's passing was initially announced by Andrew Mukasa, popularly known as Bajjo Events, who was a business associate and promoter closely associated with him. The passing of Lubwama, a beloved figure in Uganda's entertainment industry, has plunged many into mourning. Lubwama gained widespread acclaim for his exceptional comedic talent and acting skills, captivating audiences with his performances.

His artistic contributions went beyond comedy, as he was also a playwright and the founder of Diamonds Ensemble.

While his time in public office was not without controversy, his death signifies the end of a multifaceted individual who left a significant impact on Uganda's entertainment and political realms. The news of his untimely demise has left a void in the hearts of those who admired his talent and charisma.

At the time of his passing, Kato Lubwama was 52 years old, having been born on August 16, 1970. He was not alone in this world, as he had a twin.Tragically, his twin brother, Isaac Wasswa, had also passed away several years before Lubwama's untimely demise.

The loss of Kato Lubwama has deeply saddened his family, who are currently mourning. The sudden and tragic news has shocked many individuals within the entertainment and political spheres, prompting some to gather at Stana Medical Center in Bunamwaya, where Lubwama took his last breath. The expression of sorrow extended to social media platforms, where individuals conveyed their condolences to Lubwama's family.

John Segawa, a close friend of Lubwama and an actor and director, shared a poignant message filled with love and cherished memories. In his tribute, Segawa described Lubwama as his mentor and loyal brother.
