Jose Chameleone's wife, Daniella Atim, appeared to criticize her husband when a video showing him caning a Boda man earlier this year surfaced on Friday.

Violence will not be accepted, Atim wrote in the caption of an image that he uploaded on Friday night.

Someone asked: "What happened to you... that's your husband?" in the comments section. Should I offer him to you to marry him? Atim asked. Over 100 comments have been left on the three-hour-old post, the majority of which appear to support Atim and some of which urge for a boycott of the show. "I am a law student and look up to you since you are continually fighting for justice... even when you are going against your family," one reader stated in response. "All the best," Atim replied, "we want more of you in our country.

However, some pointed out that Chameleone is a well-liked artist since the Boda Guys wouldn't have permitted him to attack their coworker and get away with it. "The way fellow Boda guys were watching, yet they constantly threaten to beat us even if you are just a commoner... I submitted to the legend that person is. Boda people would have killed him if he had been someone else, a commentator said. Jose Chameleone, a musician also known as Joseph Mayanja, was caught on camera beating a Boda Boda person.

In the video, which went viral on social media on Friday, the man who calls himself a "public danger" smacks the man four times with a long stick before being taken away by someone. The Boda person is said to have hit Chameleone's Range Rover. The Boda man didn't hit the automobile, someone can be heard claiming in the footage.

Patrick Onyango, spokesman for the Kampala Metropolitan Police (KMP), and Luke Owoyesigyire, his assistant, claimed to be unaware of the occurrence. Owoyesigyire sent this reporter a WhatsApp message after releasing the footage, saying: "Am asking around whether the rider opened up a lawsuit." It is believed that Chameleone frequently travels with "goons," which accounts for why the Boda guys nearby refrained from attacking him when he attacked one of their own. This is not the first time Chameleone has been involved in violent events.

When you attack someone they work with, boda males rarely allow such acts go unpunished, especially when it happened on the streets. It is significant to note that on February 10, the Badilisha singer will perform at a concert called Ggwanga Mujje.

Instances like this might either make or break the career of the founder of the Leone Island Music Empire, who hasn't performed live in three years. He has, however, a history of getting away with such offenses.

In 2021, as he approached his 25th anniversary in the music business, Chameleone terminated his ten-year agreement with events promoter Balaam Barugahara and engaged Mariam Mutakubwa, well known as Biggie, to publicize the much anticipated gig.
