Kiggundu Bruno Alias Bruno K became well-known after coming in second place in the Airtel Trace star music contest. He just won a prize in the recent rising star awards.

Kiggundu Bruno, also known as Bruno K, changed his stage name from boogie to Bruno K when his manager at the time told him to take a big step in his music career.

He said, "People will only take you seriously as a musician if you use your name," which is what his manager had told him. Bruno K. began singing 18 years ago with his father in a church choir. Later, he took his singing to schools, where he took part in MDD shows. This helped him improve his talent.

Bruno K's career got off to a good start in 2015 when he took part in the Airtel Trace challenge and came in second.
