Gravity Omutujju
Gravity is the CEO and founder of the music group Trouble Entertainment, which he made to help him with his music. In 2011, omutujju rose to the top of the Luga flow game after releasing his hit song Walumbe Zaya, which surprised the industry.
Walumbe Zaya was first done by the late Prince Job Kaffero, but Gravity picked it up and mixed it with his Luga flow raps, giving the song a fresh breath and making it sound new and different.
Gravity has worked with artists like King Saha, Radio, David Lutalo, and many others.
How I grew up and went to school
Gravity Omutujju real name Gereson Wabuyi was born in 1993 in the town of Nakulabye. Micheal Gesa was his father, and Jane Kajoina is his mother. From nursery to primary seven, Omutujju went to Nakulabye junior school.
Feffe Bussi, another Ugandan rapper, went to the same school as him. They were both in the same class. Gravity Omutujju went to Old Kampala secondary school for his secondary level after he finished his primary level.
He got a scholarship from the school because he was good at football, and Gravity says he went to Old Kampala secondary school for free for his whole O level. Gravity says that he didn't sing when he was in primary school, but he did start singing when he was in senior two.
Gravity didn't keep studying after his O level, and he says it's because he started singing and couldn't do both at the same time.
Gravity says he is sorry he didn't finish school, and if he has the chance, he will go back.Gravity Omutujju began singing when he was in high school at Old Kampala Secondary School.
Career in music
Gravity Omutujju started singing when he was in high school at Old Kampala Secondary School. He chose the name Gravity as his stage name there.
During his senior-year summer break, he started talking to producer Peterson of Redemption studios and another rapper named Ruff X who went to the same high school. He was 17 years old at the time, and Peterson was the one who recorded his first single, Joanita.
Later, he joined and signed with a group from Makindye called Born fire of producer Didi, who at the time was the best producer. At the same time as King Saha, there were other artists in the same group.
He put out songs like "Swagger ft. King Saha" and "Vimba ft. King Saha" with this group. In 2011, the producer Didi broke up the group, Gravity left, and he went back to work. At this time, Gravity had recorded a track of Walumbe Zaya at Redemption studios, but he had not yet recorded it.
Gravity says that one night he was performing in Nakulabye, and Eddy Kenzo was there. Eddy liked Gravity's performance, so after the show, he sent Ronnie Stamina to talk to Gravity and invite him to a meeting with his boss, Eddy Kenzo.
After they met, Gravity joined Big Talent, and Eddy Kenzo took him to producer Rinex's power records, where he lent his voice to the song Walumbe Zaya, which was a big hit when it came out in 2011.
Gravity says that Eddy Kenzo paid the studio fees to record the song. This caused a fight between Gravity and the family of the late Kafeero, who were upset that Gravity had recorded a song without first talking to them. The family and Gravity later made up, though.
Gravity hasn't looked back since his big hit in 2011, and he has gone on to make more hits like Broken English, Winner, Ekyakuzala, and many more.
Gravity held his first concert, called "Mwooto Concert," at Freedom City in 2015. It was full. In 2017, he held another successful concert called "Embuzi zakutudde" at a bigger place called "Cricket Oval."
His most recent show, Ekyakuzala, was also held at Cricket Oval and was very popular. Even though his shows are always full, he is always accused of giving free tickets to fans to make sure the places are full. Since he first showed up on the music scene, there has been a lot of talk about what kind of music he makes.
Many people have said that Gravity is not a hip-hop artist, but rather a mix of rap and raga. This shows that he is creative in the way he makes music.
