Spice Diana is a Ugandan singer who came from a poor family. Today, we'll tell you all about her background, education, net worth, music, cars, house, career, and more.

Who is Diana Spice?

Namukwaya Diana, also known as Spice Diana, was born in the Mpererwe Kampala district in 1992. She was raised by her mother, Nantale Beatrice, who was a single parent.

Spice Diana's mother was reportedly forced to get married when she was only 14. A few months after the wedding, she got pregnant and gave birth to Spice Diana.

Spice's family moved from Mpererwe to Kibuli because Spice's mom got married and moved to Kibuli with her new husband. Later, they broke up, and Spice's mom moved with her kids to Nansana and then to Nakulabye, which is where she says singing dream began.

She is the oldest of three children. Her mother has been a single parent since she was born, so raising them has not been easy.

Spice's Schooling and Background

Diana went to Varreria Primary School, which is in the Kibuli Kampala district. Spice's mom says that Diana won most singing, dancing, and design contests at school.

Spice was only good at entertainment, but she was also very smart. Her mom says that when Diana was in primary six, the school administration asked her to take PLE exams for a sick student who couldn't do her own.

She took the test, and the student did very well on it.

Diana took her PLE exams the next year and got 11 aggregates. Spice Diana went to St. Peter's Senior Secondary School and Kampala Citizens School after she finished primary school. She got a 32 on her O level.

Spice Diana went to Makerere University after finishing high school and got a bachelor's degree in Industrial Arts and Design in 2018. Spice Diana had a hard time balancing music and schoolwork. This is because her classes often ran into each other. Spice Diana went to school at Makerere.

Music career

Namukwaya says she didn't plan to become a musician, but when she went to Kampala Citizens School for her A level, where everyone was famous, she found a passion for singing. She joined a group of rappers, where she was the only girl.

Her mother told her to change her style, which she did, and she wrote her first song, "Nze akwagala."

During her senior year, she became friends with the Triplets. Because she had a sharp voice like a child, she sang backup on some of their songs. Later, she met artists like Maro and Geosteady, who put her in touch with producer Fizol of Avie records. In 2014, her first hit song, "Onsanula," was made by Fizol, who was also her first manager. In 2015, she worked with Pallaso on another club hit called "Koona," which was still put out by Avie records.

After she left Avie Records, Spice Diana went to work for Emma Carlos, who was in charge of Khalifa Aganaga at the time.

In 2018, Spice Diana gave her first successful concert at the FrontPage hotel. In 2019, she went to Freedom City, which was a bigger venue, and gave another successful concert to a full house.
