Herbert Kityamuweesi's Crysto Panda: His Life Story, Girlfriend, Songs, and Family

What is Crysto Panda? Flash Uganda Media looks at his age, his music, his girlfriend, his songs, his house, his family, his early life, and where he went to school.

Crysto Panda is a well-known emcee and TV personality who is best known for hosting a show for teens called "T-Nation" on NTV. Right now, he is making waves in the music world with his debut remix, Kyoyina Omanya, which features Sheebah Karungi. But he calls himself an MC, a fashionista, an event planner, an actor, and a motivational speaker.

Crysto Panda thinks that, if not for TV, he would have been a doctor, but his parents were too poor to pay for his schooling.

How I grew up and went to school

Herbert Kityamuweesi, who goes by the stage name Crysto Panda, was his mother's first child and his father's second.

He was born on May 5, 1995, in a place called Kabonera in the Masaka district of central Uganda. Crysto Panda went to St Jude primary school in Najjanankumbi, St Monica SS for O'Level, and St John's SS in Masaka for A'Level.

Panda's parents died when he was young, so it was hard for him to pay for school. He got a Diploma in Mass Communication and Journalism from Datamine Technical Business School in 2019. He paid for his own tuition and took care of his three brothers while he was there.

How did Crysto Panda get its name?

An acronym "Chances Are Yet Supposed To Be Opened" is what "Crysto" stands for, and "Panda" comes from a song by an American rapper named "Designer" with the same name. So, he liked the song so much because it had a great vibe and energy.

Career in Television

In 2014, Crysto Panda was the host of a school quiz show on WBS TV. From there, he moved to NTV Uganda for T-Nation. During his time at NTV, he was on probation for almost a year, and in April 2016, he was officially named a host.

"It's all about love and confidence in yourself, so I didn't join TV to become famous. "Not many people can be on probation for a year without paying," Crysto Panda said. Before Panda joined T-Nation on NTV, it was hosted by Sheila Gashumba. This was hard for him because many people thought his work was like hers, but he proved them wrong in the end.

"People made fun of me at my first shows, but it wasn't long before they stopped. My only plan was to just go about my business and do my thing, so people would get used to me. "This is the second year in a row that I have won the Buzz award," Crysto Panda said. Panda was in the running to host The Beat after well-known TV host Douglas Lwanga left NTV to take a job on NBS TV.

"One of the producers called me late at night and asked me to fill in on The Beat. I asked Abbas Kaijuka, who is my stylist, for a good outfit. I was scared, so I did what I always do before going on air: I got down on my knees and said a little prayer. "Jesus, you know where I came from and where I'm going, so if this is where you want me to be, please make me put on a good show," he said.

Career in Music

Crysto Panda thinks that everyone should be able to do more than one thing, and that being rich in Uganda shouldn't depend on just one thing. So, he wanted to get something from the artists whose music he plays on his shows and from whom, he said, he gets free collaborations.

He has put Sheeba Karungi on a remix of his song Kyoyina Omanya, which has been pretty popular. Ediruma Abayaye, his second album, is becoming a national anthem in Uganda.

"Since most people know me from TV, I won't quit TV for music, but I will make more music because you can't have a concert with only two songs," said Panda.

Family

Crysto Panda and his girlfriend, whose name he doesn't say anywhere, had a healthy baby girl in 2020, but she died suddenly a week later. Panda says that he and his girlfriend broke up because of other girls.

Because he had a lot of pretty friends, his ex-girlfriend thought he was just messing around, so she broke up with him without trying to find out the truth.

Controversies

How he feels about Sheila Gashumba, as told by Crysto Panda

"Nobody gets paid what they want, and I can't blame the media for that. Everyone would like to make more money, but what matters is how you spend what you have. So, if a company pays you shs50,000 like she said, but they see you spending shs600,000 on alcohol in clubs, how do you expect them to pay you more?" Panda.

"I'm paid more than $50,000 because I probably host the show by myself," he said. "But I can't say I'm happy because there's never enough money."

The competition is between #NBSSNL and #NTVDanceParty.

"This competition is good for everyone, and there are no bad feelings between. Crysto Panda said, "On the other hand, my music is played on the shows and even after we talk, but some fans are negative and say we can't have a healthy competition, which isn't right.

"This competition is great for everyone because my fans and followers have grown a lot during this time, and so have everyone else's." That means that the shows are really interesting and have a good effect. Because of this, I think the government should have stopped people from paying for TV subscriptions so that they could enjoy more, since these shows help relieve stress.

"King of the Mic" is what Crysto Panda calls himself.

"I call myself the king of the mic, but that doesn't mean MC Kats isn't a king, too. I'm a king in my own way, and he is, too, in his. I have a lot of respect for him because he's a legend and a lot of MCs look up to him. I'm so sure of myself that if I call myself "King of the Mic," I don't mean to insult anyone, and if someone thinks they're better than me, I'm ready for a fight."

People criticize him because he hosts a show for teenagers.

"I've been criticized for being the host of the show, but I want people to know that presenting isn't about how old you are, but how well you fit in. Many young people have wanted to be on the show, but they haven't been able to. I wouldn't mind leaving, but my bosses think I'm still good enough to be on it. Even after I leave T-Nation, my life will still be about schools, so I will continue to plan school events and proms and post them on my YouTube channel.
