Julie Mutesasira, born Julie Nalujya, is a Ugandan-Canadian gospel singer known for her uplifting and inspirational music. She gained prominence in Uganda and across East Africa with songs such as Nkulembera, Lwana Nabo, Ekikunyumira, and Bamuyita Yesu, a collaboration with Iryn Namubiru.
Her music career began in 2003, and she quickly became a household name in the Ugandan gospel scene. Over the years, she has received several accolades, including the Best Female Gospel Song Award for Saba (2014), the Best Religious Song Award for List Ya Mukama (2015), and a nomination for Kijja Kugwa at the HiPipo Music Awards in 2016 .
Julie was married to Pastor Steven Mutesasira, with whom she had three children, including Esther and Ezekiel, the winners of East Africa's Got Talent Season 1 in 2019. After their divorce, she relocated to Canada, where she later remarried
