Kenneth Mugabi, born on September 12, 1982, is a singer and songwriter from Uganda. He commenced his musical journey with the Qwela Band, subsequently venturing into competitions like Tusker Project Fame and the Coca-Cola Rated Next Competition before embarking on a solo career. Kenneth has since released three studio albums.

During his senior six vacation in 2010, Mugabi, along with Isaac Labong and Shaban, established a rap group named Aliens Aly. It was during his university years that he penned his debut song "Tondeka," drawing inspiration from a past relationship.

In 2011, Mugabi enrolled at Makerere University to pursue a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music.

From 2011 to 2020, Mugabi's career saw various milestones. Although he didn't secure a top three spot in the Tusker Project Fame competition in 2011, he gained invaluable experience. The following year, he interned with Qwela Band under the mentorship of the band's founder, Joe Kahirimbanyi, before launching his inaugural studio album, "Kibun'omu." He also participated in the Coca-Cola Rated Next Competition, showcasing his original compositions such as "Gwe weka," "Nyonyozi," "Amaaso G’otulo," and "Kibun’omu," ultimately placing as the second runner-up.

Over the years, Mugabi performed at various events including Blankets and Wines, Qwela Junction, Doadoa Performing Arts Market, Godown Gig in Nairobi, and his debut concert "Strings of My Soul." He also opened for renowned artists like Ginuwine.In 2019, he released his second album titled "Ugandan" and continued to captivate audiences at events like Fezah and the Bayimba Music Festival.

Amidst the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, Mugabi's music saw increased digital distribution, and he remained active with performances at events like Blankets and Wines.From 2021 onwards, Mugabi released his album "People of The Land," showcasing his musical evolution. He continued to innovate, unveiling the visuals for his single "Under Wraps" in October 2022.

In addition to his music career, Mugabi has been involved in philanthropic endeavors. In 2021, he partnered with The Remnant Generation to launch the "1000 Faces of Change" campaign, aimed at supporting survivors of sexual abuse and pregnant teenage girls. In 2022, he composed the song "Like Them" for the Merck Foundation's "Educating Linda" program, supporting girls' education across Africa.
