Sadat Mukibi was born on March 13, 1990, and grew up in a suburb of Kampala called Kabowa with his single mother. Kalifah went to Kawanda Secondary School and got his O and A Levels. He looks a lot like Wiz Khalifah from the US, and his style is based on that of Wiz Kid from West Africa.
With high school over, it was time to sink or swim. In 2012, Kalifah AgaNaga used the $400 that his brother had given him for tuition to record his first single, "Mina Konda," and make a video for it. He worked hard to promote it on radio and TV, and it was during this time that he met Emma Carlos, a well-known talent manager with TWINKLE Star Agency. They worked out a deal that helped him break into the industry with a platinum album that has three hit singles: "Mina Konda
Most of the songs on the album are AfroBeat, Zouk, and Dancehall. There are also a few songs that were made with other artists, like "Kizibu" with Mun G, a well-known Luga Flow artist, and "Gunsimbye," a former lead singer for Wafagio who is now known as Esther Corado. In 2015, Kalifah AgaNaga and his management company, TWINKLE Star Agency, put out a new album called "Songs of AgaNaga" and are planning a big concert. He has also been nominated for the Best African Act at the prestigious BEFFTA Awards.
