Lyto Boss, originally named Katongole Derrick, entered the world in the early 90s on May 5th, born to Mr. & Mrs. Kakooza Amos in Bwaise Kawempe, a suburb of Kampala District. His early education took place at Outspan Nursery & Primary School in Bwaise, where he acquired proficiency in various musical instruments, including the guitar, trumpet, saxophone, piano, and more.

For his O-level studies, Lyto Boss attended Mamtaz Secondary School and DK Educational Hill School, followed by his A-levels at Bright Future Secondary School. His educational journey continued at Makerere University in Kampala. Lyto Boss embarked on his music career in 2009 as an instrumentalist in Diamonds Production, where the band owner and esteemed actor, Hon. Kato Lubwaama, bestowed upon him the moniker "Lyto Boss."

Initially recognized as a skillful instrumentalist, Lyto Boss evolved into a prolific songwriter, crafting songs for prominent figures in the country, including Rema Namakula, Maureen Nantume, Desire Luzinda, Catherine Kusasira, and others. In 2011, he transitioned to the forefront of the music industry with the release of his RnB love vibe titled "Mukyaalo," marking the inception of his singing career and catapulting him into the mainstream.

Undeterred, Lyto Boss continued to release hit songs such as "Lwobuze," "Nyonta," "Born in Africa," "Kanzunzu," "Kitengejja," "Omwetaaga," "Anjagala," "Katula," and more. Collaborating with artists like Bobi Wine, Moses Radio (RIP), Solome Mirembe, and Chosen Becky, Lyto Boss showcased his versatility.

In 2014, Lyto Boss staged his first successful concert with five shows at PTC, Royal Hotel Kasubi, Comfort Cottages Kasangati, Dance Flo, and Eden Service Park, respectively. Building on this momentum, he organized a larger concert titled "Katula Anjagala" in 2016 at Club Obligato, Big Zone Nansana, and Darenaz Kawanda, all of which achieved success.

The year 2017 saw Lyto Boss staging another significant concert titled "True Love" at Theatre Labonita and Lido Beach, leaving revelers eager for more. Lyto Boss, a true vocalist, entertainer, and musical storyteller of love, continues to make his mark in the music industry.
