Nabattu Naira Ali was born to Mr. Ssesanga Ali and Mrs. Ssesanga Hawa. People say that charity starts at home. Naira Ali's musical family background shows where her talent came from. Her father used to be a music DJ at a night club in masindi district called "Chicago boys." Her mother also led the choirs at her church and school.
Since she was one of the last children to be born into her family, she was allowed to be spoon-fed and babysat. Since this meant she got to watch too much TV, I would say that TV was what inspired Naira Ali. When Naira Ali was young, she liked to listen to Celine Dion and Whitney Houston. She doesn't know who taught her a lot of skills.
Kindergartners are called "miners" in most schools, but Naira Ali was more than just a miner. With clear school rules that "no kindergartener would join the school choir," she was the first kindergartener to do so because she was so good at music and acting. With the help of her teacher, Alice, she wrote a song called "twatulanga" for the school choir.
She broke the record at age five and never stopped singing.
Since her older brother wanted to be a musician, she heard more music because he wrote songs and used her to make demos that he sold to other musicians.
At age 14, she wrote and recorded her first song with Dove MC and producer Didi in true vine studios in 2001. The song was only played for a short time on Monitor FM and Sanyu FM.
As a teenager, she daydreamed and had different interests, which hampered her music career for a while. One day she wanted to be a model, the next day she wanted to be an actress, a painter, a fashion designer, or a writer, to name a few. Because she tried most of these things, she didn't know what she wanted to do for a very long time.
Naira Ali was a member of the East High School entertainment club "Da Bliss Club" for four years, from 2001 to 2004. She wrote, acted, and sang for the club.
She ran for entertainment prefect at Kibibi Secondary School in 2005. She was the only girl out of five boys, and she won. She was the school's first entertainment prefect who was a woman.
At the same school, the school's music, dance, and drama festivals all named her best actress of 2006.
In 2006, when she was a senior in high school, she got a manager who had heard her brother's demos and seen how talented she was. She took voice lessons and other classes for professional singers, and then she started recording. She recorded three songs at the time, but her manager found out later that they weren't good enough, so they remade them in 2009.
She went to the auditions for the 2009 Tusker Project Fame and was one of the top ten Ugandan finalists.
In 2009, she was given an award and a certificate from the Diva Music Awards for best central and southern up-and-coming artist.
The new vision verdict 2009 chose her as the best new female artist.
Purplechord was the first music company to hire her.
Naira Ali says that her music doesn't have a name. It includes R&B, jazzy band, afro fusion, pop, rock, Techno, and world music, just to name a few.
She has a clear and strong voice.
After getting her bachelor's degree in industrial fine art, she started making music. Her first album, Sounds of Naira Ali, has songs like "Tulo, muntu wange," "Okikola Otya," "Shygal ft. Ziza Bafana," "Sinze," "Dancing tonite," "Sweetest thing," "Mwerere," and "Binyuma," to name just a few.
In May 2015, she had her first sold-out concert, which was a high-end corporate dinner show called "Sounds of Naira Ali."
After years of being consistent and making hit songs, she released her second album, "Iam Naira Ali," to the media and a few fans at Fame Lounge in December 2018.

Fever, just to name a few.
She has worked with artists from both inside and outside the country.
In 2017 and 2018, she went on two successful tours of the country.
Putting on shows in 15 of Uganda's best districts.
In 2019, she had a successful US tour called "I Am Naira Ali." She played in seven different states, including Chicago, California, Boston, Michigan, Colorado, and others.
In 2020, she began making "Naira Ali," her third eclectic Studio Album, which was meant to define her sound and personality. There are songs on this album like "Kiriye," "Voodoo," "Your Body," "Naira Ali," and "Ebizibu," just to name a few.
