Qute Kaye Biography

Qute Kaye, born Kawuma Ivan, is a Ugandan musician who gained fame in the mid-2000s with his hit song Ginkese after participating in the 2003 Coca-Cola Pop Stars competition. His music blends RnB, Afro Beats, and Reggae, and he has released popular tracks such as Gwendota, Ku Mutima, Yiina, and Osindise Asitamye (featuring Iryn Namubiru) .

Kaye initially started his career as a church singer before transitioning to mainstream music. However, despite his success, he faced personal struggles, including addiction. His battle with substance abuse led to public challenges, but he later sought rehabilitation and focused on rebuilding his life and career.

As part of his recovery, Qute Kaye founded Another Chance Foundation, a charity organization aimed at helping individuals struggling with addiction. He has been involved in motivational speaking, particularly in schools, hospitals, and rehabilitation centers.

Recently, Kaye has been working on a comeback in the music industry, performing in church and recording new material in the studio .
