Record Ellah Butida

Record Elah, whose birth name is Makumbi Ashraf, is a Ugandan Ragga/Dancehall music recording artist currently based in Kampala, Uganda. He was born on March 13, 1993, and spent his early years in Makindye, a suburb of Kampala city. His mother, Mrs. Cissy Nansamba, gave birth to him at the age of 19, while his father, Mr. Kalungi Hassan, also hails from Makindye but abandoned the family permanently when Record Elah was five years old, although he is still alive.

Record Elah attended Walukuba Community Center Nursery and Primary School for his early education, followed by Nkoyoyo Boarding Primary School for his primary studies, and then Jinja Secondary School for his O & A level studies. He later pursued his tertiary education at Strathmore University in Nairobi, Kenya, where he obtained a first-class degree in Music, Dance & Drama in 2013.
