Red Banton, born Lubega Tony in Masaka, Uganda, is a veteran musician who gained prominence in the early 2000s. He was one of the biggest names in Uganda's music industry, known for his unique lyrical style and engaging storytelling.

His breakout hit, "Nonya Money," became a massive success, dominating radio airwaves and cementing his status as a top artist. The song, inspired by his personal struggles as a night watchman and DJ, resonated with many Ugandans and remained on the charts for months 

Red Banton is also known for other hits, including "Pony Tail," "Sivva Kampala," and "Speed 180." His music blends Afrobeat, dancehall, and Ugandan urban sounds .

Despite his success, Red Banton faced financial struggles later in his career, with reports of eviction issues. However, he continues to make music and share his views on Uganda’s music industry
