Ruyonga
Ruyonga is a Ugandan Christian hip-hop artist, poet, writer, public speaker, and graphic designer who uses his music to entertain and raise awareness about issues affecting youth in schools, churches, and communities. He primarily appeals to young people aged 15 to 29.
Ruyonga has won multiple awards and competitions, including Chicago’s Pass The Mic Competition and Champaign, Illinois’ Best Hip-hop Artist for three consecutive years. He has collaborated and performed with notable artists such as Maurice Kirya, Proverb (South Africa), Eldee (Nigeria), K’Naan, The Roots, Lupe Fiasco, The Wu-Tang Clan, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Wiz Khalifa, Somi, and Mystikal. In 2013, Channel O listed him among the Top Ten African Emcees in a League of Their Own.
