Suuna Ben: Early Life, Education, and Biography of His WifeSuuna Ben, also known as Owebinyanyanya, is a highly regarded Ugandan mixtape DJ, esteemed radio and TV presenter, media personality, emcee, and host of radio and television shows at Bukedde, a Vision Group brand.

Suuna has gained fame in Uganda for his distinctive music mixing style using BPM (Beats Per Minute), which he has named 'Ebinyanyanyanya.'

Early Life and Education

Born in Masaka District, Kimanya Village, Suuna Ben is of Muganda ethnicity. He is the second child in a family of seven, with his father, Kayondo John, passing away when Suuna Ben was in primary three. His mother, Namata Proscovia, continues to reside in Masaka. Suuna Ben attended Kimanya Nursery School and later Kimanya Primary School. Following his father's demise, he shifted to Kijabwene Primary School, the affordable option for his mother, until completing P.7.

Facing financial challenges, Suuna Ben enrolled in Masaka Technical Institute to study motor vehicle mechanics. However, due to his lack of passion for the subject and his mother's inability to sustain his education, he resorted to odd jobs, initially selling music tapes using his father's musical instruments. Subsequently, he ventured into DJ work at events, following in his father's footsteps.

After three years, Suuna Ben returned to formal education, securing a scholarship at Drumbeat, a music and dance group, due to his musical talent. The scholarship allowed him to join Exodus Vocational School, Nyendo, with aspirations to become an electrical engineer. Skipping S.1, he entered S.2 but missed S.3 exams due to a performance trip to Sweden with Drumbeat. Consequently, he had to repeat S.3, leading him to change schools without informing his sponsor.

Suuna Ben moved to Stella Maris School on a scholarship, which caused a rift with his Drumbeat sponsor. Refusing to apologize, Suuna Ben lost the scholarship but continued with Drumbeat and received compensation. Despite these challenges, he completed both O' Level and A' Level at Stella Maris.

During his time at Stella Maris, Suuna Ben engaged in karaoke at Club Idols, High Way Restaurant in Masaka, and later at Club Topicano, securing funds to support his studies.Following his completion of senior six, Suuna Ben took on a role at High Way Restaurant, serving as a coordinator between waitstaff and chefs while simultaneously continuing his work in Karaoke at Topicano.

Subsequently, he transitioned from his Karaoke position and entered the radio scene, initially joining Radio Equator after being noticed by one of the Karaoke attendants, Dickson Sengonzi (RIP). He later moved on to Buddu FM. Interestingly, Suuna Ben has never actively sought radio opportunities; instead, stations have recognized and embraced his inherent talent.

Despite harboring dreams of becoming an Electrical Engineer since his secondary school days, Suuna Ben's career path took a different turn as he found success in the realm of DJ work, catapulting him to fame.
