What is Vyper Ranking?
As Vyper Ranking himself would probably tell you, he is a phenomenon of the 21st century. He is a young boy from the ghetto who became the most famous dancehall and reggae artist of his generation. He makes music that is unique, different, and full of different styles. He is also known as "Riddim Killer," a name given to him by his fans because of his hardcore freestyle. When Vyper Ranking jumps on any riddim, he kills it with his dope off flows. He got the name "Vyper" from a poisonous snake called "The Viper," which means that his lyrics and voice are dangerous. And the name Ranking comes from a Jamaican dancehall artist named Shaba Ranking, who was his favorite artist to look up to. His music is mostly Dancehall and reggae, and he says that artists like Peter Mile, Cindy Sanyu, and Kid Fox from Uganda were important to him. Bantu Events Africa is the name of the record label that Vyper Ranking is signed to.
He grew up in a ghetto in one of Kampala's (Uganda) suburbs. His real name is "Ayire Sadam," and he was born on June 16, 1994, in Kireka, Kampala. His father, Mohamad Lomong, was a businessman from Karamoja, which is in northern Uganda. His mother, Rehma Naigaga, was a housewife.
Ayire Sadam, also known as Vyper Ranking, is the fifth child out of a total of eight. He went to Kamuli CU for his primary education and to Bweyogerere for his secondary and high school education. Vyper Ranking says he came from a simple family and loved music from a very young age. He looked up to dancehall and reggae Jamaican artists when he was young, and that's when he started practicing his vocals to fit his style.
