Geo Steady
Kigozi George Wiliam is an R&B singer, songwriter, and producer from Uganda. He is better known as Geosteady. For the song "SAME WAY," which he worked on with other people, he won the 2016 Uganda Entertainment Award for Best Collaboration.
In 2016, he won the HiPipo Music Awards for Best Zouk. He won Best Song at the 2017 HSMAs and Best R&B Contemporary Artist. ZZINA 2017
EARLY YEARS
Kigozi George William was born in Mulago, Uganda, on April 1, 1990. He was the sixth child in a family of six. He was an active member of the school choir when he was a young boy. He went to St. Henry's Primary School in Ndikutamadda, St. Henry's College in Gangu for his O-levels, and Masaka Secondary School for his A-levels.
It didn't take him long to realize that he had grown up as a singer. He then decided to make music his career, first as an audio producer in 2011 and then as a well-known musician in 2012.
MUSIC JOURNEY
In his musical career, he has released songs like Mbuuza, Ntunulira, Lwambeera, Nawuuma, Mpita, Apaana, Viola, Get Up Speak Out, African Baibe, Silubala, Kayirigombe, Lovenjitis, Come to me, Wakikyenga, No more Edit, Omufeere, Take You Home, Same Way, and Owooma. He has also had big names like Eddy Kenzo, Lydia Jazmine, Don Mc, Navio, Lisa Viola, Charly & Nina, and Charly & Nina on his shows.
Geosteady has performed for different crowds in South Africa (Johannesburg, Durban, and Cape Town), Rwanda, and Dubai. He will be remembered as the first Ugandan musician to rock Doha, Qatar. He is now scheduled to play the first "Geosteady Live In Concert" on September 8, 2017 at the Imperial Royale Hotel in Kampala. He will also perform in Las Vegas, London, and Istanbul.
Blackman is the name of his record company.
DOING GOOD DEEDS
Geosteady is also a Brand Ambassador for Reach A Hand Uganda (RAHU), which is a youth-led organization that works to empower young people in Uganda and give them up-to-date health information so they can make smart choices. He also just started the St. George Foundation Uganda (SGFU), a charity to help children that aims to raise a well-rounded child.
