Victor Kamenyo, whose real name is Katongole Derrick and who was born in Kampala, Uganda, is a singer, songwriter, and political candidate. His favorite kinds of music are Dancehall, Afrobeat, Afropop, and rap. In 2012, he released a song called "Agawalagana," which put him on Uganda's music scene.
He works with musicians such as David Lutalo, Swahaba Kasumba, and Ivo Dancer, to name a few. He also has songs like Silina Malala, Baveeko ft David Lutalo, Nduulu, Lagako, Baligabana and so many more. Victor Kamenyo has won a number of awards, including Hipipo Best Hip Hop, Best Rapper Hi Skool Awards, and Best New Entry Viga Award.
